So much over the years
2012
Our son, Cooper Logan was diagnosed after 12.5 days with Kawasaki Disease. He suffered a giant coronary aneurysm from the late diagnosis. Our family decided to make a difference and start the Kawasaki Kids Foundation
2013
The Kawasaki Kids Foundation was born with a goal to save one child from the misdiagnosis that Cooper suffered from.
2014
Cooper 5K was very successful, so we decided to take our Kickin’ Kawasaki 5K on the road the following year.
2015
Supported Children’s Hospital Colorado with funding for KD research.
2016
Developed and started our Kawasaki Kids Backpack Program. This program is focused on bringing much-needed smiles to children just diagnosed in the hospital.
2017
Hundreds of Kawasaki Disease posters created and sent out out across the country.
2018
Started the Kawasaki Kids Christmas Wishes, benefiting children who need a little extra love during the holidays.
2019
Biggest year yet, with 8 Kickin’ Kawasaki 5k’s across the country.
2020
Covid struck and changed our approach to in-person, events with virtual 5ks & modified fundraising events.
2021
To date, saved over 150 kids' hearts to early diagnosis due to the Foundation’s social media, website and video efforts. Parents using tools we provide to be advocates for their child for early diagnosis.
2022
Multiple events with national growth of Kawasaki Classic Golf Tournaments in Austin, TX and Fort Collins, Colorado, Bags, Bites & Brews Cornhole Tournament, Kickin’ Kawasaki 5K Arvada, CO, and many other great events creating awareness, community and raising money to support children and families dealing with Kawasaki Disease.
2023
