Hi, I'm Daenerys, when I was 5 months old, my parents took me to the ER on Oct 30, 2018 with high fever of 104 °, they diagnosed me with an ear infection, sent me home with an antibiotic amoxillin for 10 days and alternating tylenol and ibuprofen to treat the fever, when my parents saw that I worsen, on Oct 30th, they took me to pediatrician because my fever persisted, but I had vomiting and diarrhea, they diagnosed me with a viral infection, sending me home because I was already under a previous antibiotic treatment by the ER and had to wait.My parents continued to monitor me at home, the high fevers came and went, they only gave me pedialyte because the milk was vomiting it began to swell, on November 12th I began to get red eyes with allergy eruptions in my face and upper body, we visited the pediatrician again and concerned, ordered immediate admission under the possible diagnoses of fever, leukocytosis, staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome or kawasaki Disease, after several labs ,echos, a cardiologist diagnosed KD, they gave me IG my arteries expanded so much creating multiple aneurysms, they transferred me to another hospital out the state on November 15 to 29th During the hospitalization they administered the treatment of Infliximab Therapy, asteroid , Echocardiograms Actually I continue to be monitored by cardiologist and was consulted by a hematologist for the administration of anticoagulants to avoid blood clots because my coronary arteries were reduced but my tissues are not the same, we have a hard days it was very difficult to assimilate and understand about KD
