Leighton's Story
My son was only 5 and half months old when he was diagnosed with KD, most horrible thing is to see your child so poorly and not being able to help, he had the strawberry tongue, high fever 42° and wouldn't go down, res hand and feet then his rash head to toe, he was treated in hospital and fully recovered, and then at age 3 years 8 months he was diagnosed with KD for the 2nd time, we knew what to expect this time so was a lot calmer with the situation, but still very worried as it was his 2nd diagnosis and we was told he could only get it the once, we luckily caught it in time again and he fully recovered once again. He still has regular check ups and has done from his 1st diagnosis and all is well.
